Canyoneering in the gorges of Pallars Sobirà and Alt Urgell ranks among the most complete experiences in the Pyrenean arc, with descents combining jumps, abseils and swimming in clear mountain water. The Àger Colgades walls, just over 40 kilometres from the city, are a national reference for sport climbing on limestone with routes at every level.
Parapenting from Organyà is one of the most recognised free-flight venues in Europe, making use of thermal currents generated by the Pyrenean relief. In winter, the ski resorts of Pallars and the Val d'Aran are less than two hours by road. For the rest of the year, mountain biking routes through the valleys and long-distance trails in Pallars offer options for all fitness levels.
