Hang Gliding

About Hang Gliding

Hang gliding offers one of the purest free-flight experiences: suspended in a horizontal position beneath a rigid wing, you glide through the air harnessing thermal currents, with a sense of freedom and speed that no other aerial sport can match. Tandem hang gliding flights let anyone experience this sensation without any prior training. A qualified pilot handles the hang glider while you enjoy the flight, the views, and the manoeuvres. Take-off is done by running downhill from a slope, and landing is soft in a wide open area. Flights typically last between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on thermal conditions. On good days, you can climb hundreds of metres gaining altitude with thermals and cover several kilometres of distance. Spain offers excellent conditions for hang gliding thanks to its climate and topography. The most popular destinations include Ager (Lleida, host of international competitions), Castejón de Sos (Huesca), Alhama de Murcia, Loja (Granada), and several spots in the Canary Islands. Each area offers a different type of flight depending on the terrain and weather conditions.
