The Sequoia Forest of Monte Cabezón, in the municipality of Mazcuerras, is the only sequoia forest on the Iberian Peninsula. Over 800 Sequoia sempervirens specimens reach 36 metres tall, planted in the 1940s as a forestry trial. Declared a Natural Monument in 2003, the 30-to-60-minute circular walk follows wooden boardwalks accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs. Interpretive panels explain the site's history and botany. Free access all year round.
