Discover Málaga

Málaga concentrates water and mountain activities within 30 km of the city centre. The Mediterranean coast offers sea kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, wreck diving and paragliding from the cliffs at Maro. Inland, the Parque Natural Montes de Málaga (4,996 ha), crossed by the Guadalmedina stream, provides low-to-medium difficulty hiking routes including the El Tarajal loop (12 km). Sport climbing has active crags around the city, and MTB routes connect the shore with the first ridges of the Montes. The Mediterranean climate allows outdoor activities year-round: winter is mild (10–16 °C) and summer hot (28–35 °C) with sea temperatures of 22–25 °C from June to October. Water activities peak from July to September. Málaga airport and the suburban rail network provide easy access from anywhere on the Costa del Sol.
