What you'll experience

Arrival in Vinuesa

Check-in at the country house in the old quarter, stroll through the manors and torrezno dinner in a village tavern. Stargazing if the sky allows.
Main route to Laguna Negra

8:00 start, 55 km with 1,187 m+ along pine-forest roads to the glacial lake. Picnic at the viewpoint. Descend via Salduero and Molinos de Duero. Return in the afternoon.
Short ride + Cuerda del Pozo

25 km short ride along the reservoir, swim at the inland beach if the temperature allows, lunch at an inn and return.

Stone country house in Vinuesa

Stone house in the old town (18th century) or rural complex in the pine forest. 2-8 people, log fireplace and breakfast with Soria produce. 70-110 €/night.

Traditional tavern dinner: PGI Soria torreznos with crispy skin, migas with grape and morcilla, Castilian soup. Paired with DO Ribera del Duero wine.

Fits if you enjoy road/gravel cycling at mid-altitude (1,000-1,700 m), silent forests and mountain food. Works for couples or small groups with a cycling base or e-bike.

Doesn't fit if you want highly technical MTB (try Gredos or Sistema Central), urban routes or beach destinations. Winter brings snow and route closures.

¿Es exigente la subida a la Laguna Negra?

Sí: 55 km con 1.187 m de desnivel positivo. Requiere base ciclista. Con e-bike o ruta corta (25 km) se hace cómodo.

¿Vale bici de gravel?

Sí, hace casi todo el recorrido. Solo el último km antes del mirador tiene grava suelta donde MTB rinde mejor.

¿Se puede en invierno?

No recomendado: nieve y hielo entre diciembre y marzo. La laguna puede estar congelada (escena espectacular) pero las pistas no son ciclables.

¿Cómo combinar con micología?

En octubre-noviembre añade un día para taller con micólogo. Boletus, níscalos y trompetas son habituales.
