Camp arrival

Arrival at the Casas del Río camp, tipi check-in, light lunch.
Rafting on the Cabriel

Transfer to the put-in, briefing and 7 km raft descent with a guide. Back to camp.
Barbecue and fire

Barbecue dinner at the camp. Fireside evening under a clean sky, no street-lights.
Breakfast and departure

Camp breakfast and departure. Optional: short canyon trail before hitting the road.

Circular tent for 4-6 with wooden floor. Shared bathrooms and showers at the camp.

Activities

7 km rafting descent
7 km class II-III descent through the Cabriel canyon. Briefing, guide on the raft, 3-4 hours.

Group barbecue

Fireside dinner with lamb, butifarra sausage and grilled vegetables. Long table for the whole group.
Breakfast at the camp

Energetic breakfast: coffee, tea, bread, fruit, charcuterie and home-made cakes.

Wetsuit, helmet, life vest, paddle, accident + liability insurance. All included.
Canoe paddle (supplement)

Option to add a 1-2 h canoe paddle on the Cabriel's calm pools. Beginner-friendly.

Do I need to swim well?

Not at a high level. You need to float with a life vest and stay calm if you fall in. The guide briefs you fully before the descent.

From what age can kids join?

This package is set from 10 years old, mostly for adult groups. Some operators accept from 8.

What are the tipis like?

Circular tents for 4-6 people with wooden floor. No plugs or climate control; sleeping bag recommended in spring and autumn.

Group min and max size?

Usually 8 minimum, 30 maximum. For smaller groups ask for alternatives.

Is there mobile reception?

Very limited or none. The camp is deep in the Reserve. Warn anyone who needs to be reachable before arrival.
