What you'll experience

Arrival and winery visit

Arrive in Cofrentes around 11am. 1-hour guided visit to a family winery in DO Utiel-Requena or Manchuela. 3-4 wine tasting with pairing.
Hervideros spa or Júcar cruise

As chosen: 90-minute thermal circuit in the spa's active pools, or 2-hour river cruise through the Júcar canyon to Cortes de Pallás.
Dinner and lit castle

Check-in at the rural inn. Half-board dinner with Manchego-Valencian cuisine. Optional walk through Cofrentes with view of the lit medieval castle.
Breakfast and return

Breakfast with local products. Check-out until noon. Optional walk through the village or along Cabriel trails before leaving.

Double room in a rural inn or in Hotel Balneario Hervideros, subject to availability. Half board (breakfast and dinner). Wifi, heating, full bathroom.

Manchego-Valencian dinner at the inn's restaurant (gazpacho manchego, ajoarriero, game meat, home-made dessert). Buffet breakfast with local products. Vegetarian-friendly.

Extras

Visit and tasting at a family winery

Small winery in DO Utiel-Requena or DO Manchuela (subject to availability). Vineyard and production-room tour, 3-4 wine tasting with pairing. Appointment only.
Main experience: spa or cruise

One of the two options is included in the base rate. Choose based on preference, season and river flow for the cruise.
Upgrade: add the other option (spa + cruise)

If you want both experiences on a single trip, the second can be added as a surcharge. Better to extend to 2 nights so it fits comfortably.
Therapeutic massage (optional)

40-minute spa massage (Swedish, deep-tissue or bamboo). Add-on to the thermal session. Surcharge.
Self-guided visit to Cofrentes Medieval Castle

Free entry with interpretive panels. 200 m of stairs from the base. Best early morning or sunset. Lit at night.

Who this fits

With friends Romantic Relaxation Gastronomy Wellness

Fits if: you mix thermal wellness with a wine angle, have time (one night is the minimum), and drive from Valencia, Albacete, Madrid or Castellón without trouble. Couples, friend groups, senior escapes.

Doesn't fit if: you want Michelin-grade dining, travel with very young children (spa age limits), or expect resort luxury. For more intensive wine + in-house spa see Mainetes (Albacete); for wine + mountain see Liébana.

¿Tengo que elegir entre balneario y crucero?

Sí, en la tarifa base se incluye una de las dos. Se puede contratar la otra como suplemento si os queda tiempo (mejor con 2 noches).

¿El balneario es del hotel donde dormimos?

Depende. La opción de alojamiento puede ser el propio Hotel Balneario Hervideros (con acceso directo) o una posada rural cercana — en ese caso se incluye entrada al circuito termal.

¿Cuándo no opera el crucero del Júcar?

De diciembre a febrero suele no operar por caudal/frío. En verano funciona con varias salidas al día. En primavera/otoño confirma 48h antes con el operador.

¿Se puede ir con niños?

Niños mayores de 8-10 años sí. El circuito termal del balneario tiene edad mínima (confirmar). Crucero, bodega visita y castillo son aptos.

¿Qué se come en la media pensión?

Cena en el restaurante del alojamiento: cocina rural manchego-valenciana (gazpacho manchego, gachas, ajoarriero, carne de caza en temporada, postres caseros). Adaptable a vegetarianos avisando.

¿Hace falta coche?

Sí, no hay transporte público útil. El coche también es necesario para moverse entre alojamiento, bodega, balneario y embarcadero del crucero.
