Horseback ride under the full moon in Santa Susanna

Once a month, when the moon is full, the ranch near Santa Susanna organises a special outing: the ride takes place at night, along the same paths of Montnegre i el Corredor as during the day, but with the forest in silence and moonlight filtering through the holm oaks. It is the most special ride the ranch offers and the most sought after for couples, anniversaries and groups of friends.

The ride is guided and lasts around two hours. The horses know the route and travel at a walk; the instructor leads the way and sets the pace. No previous experience is required, though as a night-time ride it is reserved for those over 14 years old and does not allow the tandem option (adult and child on the same horse). The maximum weight per rider is 90 kg.

Rides only take place on full moon nights, so it is worth checking the lunar calendar and booking in advance: the number of places available on each date is limited. Booking is confirmed with a 50% deposit and payment is by cash or Bizum only; cards are not accepted.

Bring warm clothing even in summer, as it can get cool in the forest at night, and wear closed-toe shoes. A small torch is not necessary for riding but can be useful when arriving at and leaving the ranch.
