On the outskirts of Santa Susanna, where the Maresme leaves the beach behind and the forest begins, a ranch styled after the American West opens its stables for horseback rides along the paths of the Montnegre i el Corredor mountain range. The route is guided from start to finish: an instructor explains the basics before mounting, assigns each person a calm horse, and accompanies the group along forest paths lined with holm oaks, cork oaks and pines, with occasional views opening out towards the sea.

There are three durations available. The 1-hour route is the ideal introduction for anyone who has never ridden: gentle pace, comfortable terrain and enough time to get the hang of it. The 1.5-hour route ventures a little further into the park and is the favourite of families and groups. The 2-hour route is the most complete and travels furthest from the ranch; it is not offered in summer due to heat. All routes depart from the same point and travel at a walk.

Participants from 9 years old with no previous experience are welcome. The maximum weight per rider is 90 kg. For younger children, there is the tandem ride option: an adult and child ride together on the same horse, provided their combined weight does not exceed 90 kg. This option is available for the 1-hour and 1.5-hour routes, but not the 2-hour route.

Booking is confirmed with a 50% deposit and payment at the ranch is by cash or Bizum only; cards are not accepted. Before the ride there is time to meet the horses, ponies and donkeys at the ranch, an activity that often proves as enjoyable as the ride itself.
