Context

Es Coloms Cave, located on the eastern coast of Mallorca near Porto Cristo, is a natural formation that blends underground and underwater caverns. The route spans approximately 1.6 km with a vertical drop of 100 meters, offering a protected environment where visitors can observe mineral formations such as stalactites and stalagmites, as well as inland lakes filled with clear seawater. The internal temperature remains stable between 18 and 20°C, creating a cool, humid atmosphere with the distinct scent of sea and minerals.

The Experience

The activity begins with a boat or speedboat transfer from Porto Cristo or Cala Romántica to the cave entrance. After being fitted with a helmet, wetsuit, and life jacket, you’ll follow your guide through a mix of walking and crawling along terrestrial passages, where you can touch the rough, cool mineral formations. You’ll then swim through crystal-clear inland lakes filled with seawater, feeling the refreshing water and hearing natural echoes that enhance the sense of adventure. The full excursion lasts between 3 and 6 hours, depending on the chosen format.
