Comienza una ruta hermosas desde la Cruz de Tejada y bordea la caldera del mismo nombre hacia Artenara. Podrás disfrutar de las vistas de las montañas del oeste en el horizonte, mientras los paisajes los decoran los barrancos y los demás monumentos naturales que caracterizan la Isla de Gran Canarias. Te alejarás del Roque Nublo mientras te acercas al Bentayga y a Altavista y Acusa, zonas hermosas de la que podrás disfrutar y tomar fotografías. Entrarás a las Cuevas Caballero en tu camino hacia los bosques de pinos y podrás descubrir cómo y dónde vivían los habitantes originales de Canarias. Entre pinos te sentirás como en un cuento y seguirás los senderos usados anteriormente para la trashumancia. Si el cielo está despejado podrás ver el Teide y las nubes que bañan la zona como olas en el mar.  Al llegar a Artenara habrá finalizado la ruta pues estarás en el pueblo más lato de la isla. Ahí, visitarás a la Virgen de la Cuevita. También podrás visitar el Museo-Cueva y descubrir los secretos de los antiguos habitantes.
