GR-11: Classic Pyrenees crossing
Classic GR-11 crossing between Candanchú and Salardú: huts, alpine landscape, glacial scenery.
The GR-11 is the classic Pyrenees crossing that traverses the range west to east. This 10-day version crosses the Aragonese heart between Candanchú and Salardú: Aigüestortes, Monte Perdido, Posets-Maladeta.
We walk hut-to-hut, with nights in mountain refuges and rural houses in inhabited valleys. The route is demanding — 6-8 daily hours with 800-1200m accumulated elevation — but technically accessible to hikers with prior alpine experience.

Recommendations
Book 3+ months ahead — huts fill in July and August. Don't underestimate altitude: 2 nights in Candanchú or low Pyrenees before starting noticeably improves performance.
