Description

The Alto Mijares is shaped by the Mijares river, which has carved a spectacular limestone canyon. Montanejos is its epicentre: the Fuente de los Baños springs at 25°C into a turquoise pool where bathing is free. Canyoning, whitewater kayak, bungee jumping and climbing routes begin here. The Vía Verde de Ojos Negros (168 km) crosses the region.
