Description

Te invitamos a que realices la ruta de Washington Irving, un escritor estadounidense del romanticismo. El escritor da nombre a esta ruta que une las ciudades de Sevilla y Granada.  Irving acumuló leyendas e historias escritas por el mismo contando su experiencia, de las cuales también aprenderás gracias a nuestros monitores expertos en la zona. Al comienzo de la actividad, el monitor os dará las claves básicas para realizar esta aventura de manera adecuada. La ruta está dividida en cinco etapas con un total de 400 kilómetros. Las etapas son las siguientes:  Sevilla-Marchena-Osuna: La primera etapa será desde la capital andaluza, recorriendo las localidades de Alcalá de Guadaira  y los Alcores. Tras pasar por los arroyos del río Corbones llegaremos a las comarcas de Marchena y Osuna. Esta etapa tiene un recorrido total de 164 kilómetros. Osuna-Antequera: A continuación dejamos atrás la comarca sevillana de Osuna para introducirnos en la provincia de Málaga, en concreto en la localidad de Los Llanos de Antequera, rodeando el río blanco y cruzando el río Guadalhorce, que nos llevará a la antigua  ciudad de Antequera. Antequera-Loja: Tras atrevsar una gran diversidad de vegetación de pinares y encinares llegaremos al valle del Genil por el camino de la loma vieja, podremos observar la conocida "Peñade los enamorados". Subiremos y nos adentraremos en la localidad de Antequera todo ello a través de las inmediaciones de su sierra.  Loja-Montefrío: La penúltima etapa nos lleva hasta la localidad de Loja. Es una etapa corta pero intensa, divisaremos varios lugares como el puerto de Tocón, Los Montes y el valle de Arroyo Molinos, que nos llevará hasta la localidad de Montefrío.  Montefrío-Granada: Esta etapa comienza en la localidad de Los Montes y nos traslada hasta la Vega de Granada. Rodearemos la zona norte de la sierra de Parapanda. Finalmente, atravesamos la Real Villa Católica que nos llevará hasta nuestro destino final, la provincia de Granada.  Esta ruta esta caracterizada por su nivel de facilidad, es perfecta para los que se inician en el deporte del ciclismo de montaña, puesto que las subidas son escasas y de baja altura.
