Description

Son Martorellet is a fourteen-hectare estate in Ferreries, in the interior of Menorca, dedicated to the breeding and training of the Pura Raza Menorquina horse. This native breed, black and of elegant stature, is one of the living symbols of the island and features in its traditional festivals.

The visit lasts approximately one hour and is self-guided: you explore the different areas of the estate at your own pace, with staff available to answer questions about the breed and the daily life of the place. You will see mares and horses roaming free, the purebred Menorcan stallions, and also sport horses, as well as the daily training of the animals.

It is a peaceful plan suitable for all ages, convenient for families with children, and a direct way to understand why the Menorcan horse is part of the island's character. The estate is open from May to October and offers free parking.

Son Martorellet currently offers tours of the facilities; it does not include an equestrian show.
