**The experience** This is the open-air water area, set at the bottom of the La Hermida gorge where limestone walls drop straight onto the river Deva. Ninety minutes in pools of mineral water rising from three springs at 59 degrees. What sets it apart from any hotel spa is the setting: you are inside the gorge, rock overhead and river alongside. **Who it suits** Accepted from three years old, with its own rate for children aged three to seven. It is the spa option that works best with family. **Practical details** Capacity is limited and booking is advisable. To enter the water you need a bathrobe or towel, swimsuit, flip-flops and a swimming cap; the cap is compulsory.
