Context
The tandem skydive in Castellón takes place at the El Pinar Airfield, located just 50 meters from the beach of Gurugú. This facility is the closest airfield to the sea in all of Europe, offering breathtaking aerial views of the Costa del Azahar from 4,000 meters above sea level. The surrounding landscape blends the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea with protected natural zones, where sea breezes carry the salty scent of the ocean.
The Experience
After a safety briefing and equipment fitting, passengers ascend by airplane to 4,000 meters. The jump begins with a free fall lasting approximately 50–60 seconds—intense, adrenaline-filled moments as wind rushes against the skin. Then, the parachute deploys for a calm 7-minute glide over sandy beaches and natural parks, with panoramic views stretching to the horizon.
Who It's For
This activity is suitable for individuals over 16 years old, in good physical health, with no heart or bone-related conditions, and weighing between 35 and 95 kg. It’s ideal for first-time jumpers seeking a powerful yet secure experience guided by a certified instructor. Not recommended for people with physical limitations or outside the specified weight and health ranges.
Local Setting
El Pinar Airfield is part of the Grao de Castellón community, where maritime traditions meet active tourism. Local instructors combine professional expertise with warm, personal service, weaving coastal culture into every jump.
