The Zipline
At 436 metres long with over 110 metres of vertical drop, this zipline flies above the spectacular Tajos de la Fuente Gorda — the limestone walls surrounding the village of Comares at over 700 m altitude. The claim stands up: it is Spain's longest zipline on natural rock anchors, launching and landing directly on the living rock.
How It Works
Advance booking is required. Monday to Friday a minimum group of 8 is needed; if your group is smaller, the operator combines bookings to reach the minimum. Weekends operate normally. Safety equipment and harness are included.
Local Context
Comares is known as the Balcón de la Axarquía — a white medieval village perched at over 700 m above the valley, with views to the Mediterranean on clear days. The Tajos de la Fuente Gorda, above which the zipline flies, are also home to Comares' via ferrata routes.
