About Granada

Granada is the natural starting point for high-mountain activities in Sierra Nevada, home to Mulhacén (3,479 m), the highest peak on the Iberian Peninsula. The Sierra Nevada ski resort (32 km from the city centre) operates from December to April with 110 km of pistes. In summer the massif becomes the setting for hiking along the GR-7, canyoning in the gorges of Trevélez and Dílar, sport climbing on the Monachil crags and alpine MTB routes with elevation gains exceeding 1,500 m.
